I'm the co-founder of Otero Bookkeeping & Tax, a business my husband and I built with a shared vision of helping individuals, families, and small business owners feel confident with their tax and bookkeeping needs. Together, we set out to create more than a tax and bookkeeping firm—we wanted to build a business rooted in trust, relationships, and genuine care for the people we serve.
I'm passionate about helping people navigate their financial responsibilities with confidence and peace of mind. For me, tax and bookkeeping services are about much more than numbers—they're about people, families, and the dreams behind every business. My Journey
My journey into accounting, bookkeeping, and taxation began with a genuine desire to help people better understand their finances and make informed decisions for themselves and their families. What started as an interest in helping others has grown into a rewarding career spanning six years in the tax profession.
Throughout those years, I have worked with individuals, families, and small businesses, helping them navigate everything from annual tax filings, tax planning, and bookkeeping. As my experience expanded, I developed a special interest in estate and trust taxation, assisting with fiduciary tax filings and helping clients understand the responsibilities and tax implications that come with estate and trust administration.
My work has given me the opportunity to serve clients throughout Colorado, Wyoming, Virginia and across the United States. Every client and every situation has taught me something valuable, strengthening my technical knowledge while reinforcing the importance of patience, communication, and personal service.
The most rewarding part of my work is knowing that I can help reduce stress for the people I serve. Whether I'm preparing a tax return, bookkeeping, or assisting with an estate or trust matter, my goal is always the same: to provide clarity, peace of mind, and dependable support. My professional journey is rooted in service. I proudly served for more than eight years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, where I developed the discipline, integrity, accountability, and attention to detail that continue to guide my work today. During my military service, I spent three years serving my community as a Jail Deputy in Larimer County, further strengthening my commitment to public service, responsibility, and helping others during challenging times.
These experiences shaped my belief that serving others is more than a profession—it is a responsibility. That same commitment led me to the bookkeeping profession, where I have the opportunity to help individuals and business owners gain confidence in their finances and make informed decisions for the future.
As a bookkeeper in Colorado, I enjoy working closely with small businesses to help them stay organized, maintain accurate financial records, and better understand the financial health of their businesses. I understand that behind every set of books is a family, a dream, and a hard-working business owner striving to succeed.
My goal is to provide reliable and transparent support that allows my clients to focus on what they do best—running and growing their businesses.
